Under the recently adopted Constitution, the Constituent Association Members came together in Launceston last Saturday to vote on the 11 nominations.

The five successful candidates for the new Board of Management are:

Annette Lutwyche
David Munns
John Purser
Chris Somerville

Thank you to the outgoing Board and Council Members who have worked tirelessly to build the sport of basketball in this state to the position that we are in today with good participation numbers and a great opportunity to expand further.

The previous structure has certainly served the sport well to this point and we are very confident that the new structure can drive the sport into the future.

Particular thank you to outgoing President Lou Cox who has been in the BTAS Chair for the past 6 years and on the Board for a total of 14 years. Lou will retire happy with the knowledge that he has been an excellent leader for our sport. We wish Lou and his wife Sandra the very best and look forward to seeing them at the basketball.
